Poorvaja is a second-year Master of Public Administration student at the School of Public and International Affairs, Columbia University. She is currently an education policy consultant at the Centre for Public Research & Leadership, Columbia University. Before SIPA, she completed her Bachelor's in Business, majoring in Finance. Her prior experience includes founding and managing two social enterprises, namely Ichchha and Swaad Sadan focusing on holistic education of underprivileged children and empowerment of marginalised women through entrepreneurship. Poorvaja is a Global Action Against Poverty Fellow and a Young Social Entrepreneur Fellow at Singapore Foundation.
